Uh, pretty sure a play can’t be called legendary before it’s even over. Two top meanings of the word are mythical (Arthur was a legendary king) or remaining famous for a long time (Amani’s wines are legendary). This is neither. Could it have been a classic play, or did Marty know that Gil would be watching the tape in 35 years?
Marty Moon exclaims ln all reality , Fans this play will haunt Gil Thorp for the rest of his life and it’s all been captured by Memerx Video Tape for future generations of fans to view again and again !
Legendary relative to what and in what way? Luke executed a fundamentally sound clean, hard tackle on the deciding play of the game. He did his job, his team achieved their goal. If he made every tackle, made every sack, interception, fumble recovery and scored all of Valley Tech’s points during their playoff run, now that would be legendary.
A “fumble” implies the receiver caught the pass, established possession and then lost the ball. Unless the fumble was recovered by the other team, it’s still Milford’s ball.
1. If the Ball is caught in the end zone it is a touchdown.2. There is no such thing as a completed pass in the end zone being fumbled. Once it is caught it is a touchdown. The play is over once the receiver catches the ball

Ummmm…if you don’t wait for the snap, aren’t you penalized for either being off sides or for illegal procedure?

I’m still trying to figure out how a 20 yr old VHS tape of a high school game has such amazing detail!!

“Milford is going to go for it” yells Marty after the play begins. Maybe he thought they would fake a pass and kick the ball instead.

Coaches Held Hostage: Coach Kaz, Day 49. 49-0 was Rocky Marciano’s record. And of course, there are the San Francisco 49ers.
