That DOES seem to be a problem that FAR too many people are having. Except for the FAR TOO MANY people who have already decided in favor of blaming Biden… regardless of the actual facts.

On every issue, Democrats have solutions and Republicans have NOTHING except whining.

Saving Democracy? A no-brainer. Republicans want to reject any election they don’t win, even if they have to foment violent revolution to do it.

Personal freedom and individual rights? Democrats want each person to make their own private, personal decisions. Republicans want BIG INTRUSIVE GOVERNMENT to dictate control over every aspect of your personal life including private relationships (dictate who you can or can’t marry), private medical choices (reproductive choices such as abortion or contraception, medical marijuana, end of life choices, stem cell therapies, gender-identity care), what books we or our children can have access to, or try to force PRIVATE religion into PUBLIC policy and religious rituals into public meetings or subsidize it with special tax advantages (socialized religion).

Economy and inflation? Democrats want to rein in ILLEGAL price gouging and profiteering off of worldwide economic emergencies caused by Russian aggression to disrupt energy and food production supplies, and Russian collusion with OPEC+ to suppress oil prices and drive up prices. Republicans want to follow the model that British Prime minister Liz Truss used to collapse the British economy so rapidly and so completely that she was tossed out in only 44 days with a program of “trickle down” and deregulation (let corporations profiteer and price gouge) that conservatives here touted but about which they have been silent since her collapse. Biden and the Democrats have kept our inflation and gas prices far lower than almost any other industrial nation. The British conservatives whose program Republicans are promising to invoke have had among the highest inflation and gas prices.

Democrats put price caps on insulin, caps on drug pricing and allowed Medicare to start negotiating prices to keep costs down. Every Republican voted against those.

Easy choice for Republicans. Republicans HATE democracy and will do everything they can to get rid of it in America.

It’s not that the GOPQ voter is willfully uninformed (i.e., stupid); it’s that they revel in their ignorance, thinking it is somehow an honor.

In case anyone is confused about it, here’s the Republican “platform.” They won’t write it down because too many voters might read it, so I did it for them. Despite being in the minority, members of the SCOTUS, “Conservatives,” RWNJs, and white supremacists are attempting to drag this country back to their imaginary Jeffersonian agrarian idyl. The 1790 census (when Jefferson was Secretary of State), counted 5.3M Americans. Only white males owning 50 acres or more of land were permitted to vote, approximately 6% of the population. Free white men who did not own land, free white females, and slaves could not vote. In 1790 the American population was largely rural, making a living by farming. Our most recent census counted 332,403,650 Americans. Current estimates are that 83% of Americans live in urban areas. They do not work at farming. Of course, a country of 300-plus million Americans requires a larger government than one with only 5.3 million Americans. Please don’t worry about how “small government” works with regulating what goes on in your bedroom, or prohibiting women (still citizens as far as I know) from crossing state lines for medical care. Nevertheless, in pursuit of “small government,” the following are conservatives’ goals for their “Jeffersonian” America

    1. No women’s rights.

    2. No civil rights for people of color, or for any other minority groups.

    3. No immigration, other than Caucasians.

    4. No labor unions.

    5. No health insurance.

    6. No legal recourse due to Republican-packed courts.

    7. No social security.

    8. No disability insurance.

    9. No minimum wage.

    10. No free and fair elections (ultimately, no elections).

    11. Imposed state religion; government funding of religious schools.

    12. Unregulated militias unchecked by Republican-packed courts.

    13. No work on mitigating climate change; no environmental protections. Continued….

Republican Platform continued…14. No free press.

Oh, I almost forgot! Lying about and misrepresenting everything. and even taking credit for bills after voting against them that Democrats try to accomplish.

GOP politicians don’t care about the environment or mitigating climate change because they intend to stay permanently in office and use their money and power to take over remaining livable locations as environmental conditions worsen. Republican leaders don’t care if America dies as long as they can feed off the carcass for their lifetimes. How many Americans would have to die or be virtually enslaved in jobs with less than living wages for this “platform” to work? Why do you people who support today’s GOP, Trump, and Trump wannabes think that you will come out winners under this regime?

VOTE, AND VOTE BLUE! Seriously, this could be your last chance.

Under the Biden admin anyone who wants a job can get one.

There are nearly 2 open jobs for every 1 jobseeker

Report: Bureau of Labor Statistics says there are 10.7 million open jobs

    November 1, 2022

The labor market continues to be strong for job seekers. Today’s report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that there are 1.9 available jobs for every one person looking for work.

The number of available jobs ticked up to 10.7 million on the last day of September. That’s still higher than before the pandemic but below the record high of 11.9 million in March.

“The largest increases in job openings were in accommodation and food services (215,000); health care and social assistance (115,000); and transportation, warehousing, and utilities (+111,000). The number of job openings decreased in wholesale trade (-104,000) and in finance and insurance (-83,000),” according to the government.

Meantime, the number of hires decreased slight to 6.1 million last month. According to the BLS, “Hires decreased in durable goods manufacturing (-57,000) and in state and local government education (-40,000).”
