Republican Joe McCarthy (and his buddy, Richard Nixon) was allowed to harass and intimidate hundreds of people and ruined many a career with his nonsense, which suddenly stopped when one of his targets asked if he had any decency.

We need another stop like that. Some person with enough clout to make it stick needs to publicly demand that Donald Trump call off his goons. If a Republican would say it, it would be even nicer (looking at you, Ms. Cheney). But this will never stop unless and until the Dotard tells his vigilantes to stand down.
