There is no real reason for OPEC to raise prices other than making more money. There’s also the prospect of higher prices working against Biden who the Saudi’s don’t like. They would much prefer the Emperor Trump.

The Saudis learned from the toilet paper shortage of the pandemic… just threaten a scarcity, step back and watch what happens!

Opec is running most of the middle east on oil income. They are living royally on the proceeds. But, they are doing it on a commodity that is becoming obsolete- not tomorrow, but eventually and certainly. They have to get as much for it as they can, while they can, because an ocean of nasty black stuff under a desert leaves you barely able to feed yourself. The downside is that the more they raise prices, the sooner oil will become worthless.

Time for us to punish the Saudis for throwing in with our enemies. Do they forget we supply not only their weaponry but often even troops? Also an excellent time to double down on green investment; there’s political benefit to doing so by making the Saudis the bad guys. Which, frankly, they are, for multiple reasons, including funding right-wing Islamic terrorism around the world (after all, Osama was a Saudi, of an influential family that was escorted to safety out of the US by the Bushes), providing war against Israel, etc., etc. Just because we have been a long-time suck-up doesn’t mean we can’t change that.

I would not be surprised to find we can switch off some of those weapons from a distance, as well.

Both governments depicted are fighting with America – each in their own way – The Saudis have been the sneakier of the two, deploying individuals (bin Laden) and third-party countries – Turkey – to execute their attacks – as well as the expanded nations of O.P.E.C. which now includes Russia.

We have a long history of acting against our own interests for short-term gain and we need to stop that, immediately!

We don’t need yet another reason to reduce demand for petroleum to the point where it can be drowned in a bathtub. But we have a political party that still resists an elementary grasp of reality.

Europeans were warned about becoming dependent on Russian oil, but they did anyway. And this is not the first time the Saudi’s have shown their true colors. Remember when we had gas lines, and gas rationing, and a national speed limit of 55 mph? Thank our friends, the Saudi’s.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that Biden controlled oil prices. Something I got from Fox ‘news’.

I find it so ironic that the democrats will pay the price at the ballot box because these evil dictators want the espionage X president and his GQP back in power
