They did that one. Season 38 they had a place called Extinction Island that people got “voted” to. Can’t say more without spoilers.

“Putting a stop to Jason” makes it sound like she wants him dead.

They actually did this kind of twist, sans the volcano. It’s called Edge of Extinction, and it was heavily panned by the fandom.

Not bad idea for all reality contestants and shows.
