Actually, Trump IS a fascist and leading a group of fascists, and white nationalists, but the important thing mentioned here is that republicans want to keep college out of reach of the middle and lower classes.

The Qphelump is stating an evocative untruth. The amount being spent on this is relatively small compared to other government spending, and with the IRS better funded, it will be paid by collecting the taxes of the very rich scofflaws who have been cheating and getting away with it.

Because only plumbers pay taxes. College graduates don’t ever pay taxes. Everybody knows that.

I have respect for plumbers. John Glenn’s father was a plumber.

Oops! Astronaut Glenn was also a Democratic senator. Democratic? That must mean that all plumbers are evil! (/S)

Hey Chip, why doesn’t your cartoon claim that the debt was transferred to you? Could it be that you don’t pay taxes?

Before my regular plumber for 25 years retired he was easily clearing $1,000 a day.

Nowadays many a plumber pulls down more than many a Ph.D. with multiple adjunct teaching gigs. Nevertheless, this toon’s apparent thesis is that the Democrats are doing some kind of Robin-Hood-in-reverse thing here. That is a go-to falsehood on the right—pure projection in this as in most cases.

An educated population is the death knell of conservatism and authoritarianism; no wonder cartoonists like Bok criticize it.

The GQP “talking point channel” definitely got this “PHD to Plumber” point going!

Biden is playing to his core (well a part of his base) and they’re going ballistic when Trump’s tax cuts for the rich (like 45) was going to provide “Trickle Down”.

We need to consider a VAT tax system so that EVERYONE payshttps://www.americanprogress.org/article/forbes-400-pay-lower-tax-rates-many-ordinary-americans/

The high cost of college is a direct result of government backed school loans. The colleges can charge any amount they wish for tuition. The students then must get higher and higher loans. That is a win, win for the colleges and a lose, lose for the students.

Statistics tell a much the opposite tale. Only a small percentage of student loans resulted in a doctorate or masters. Guess if you spout it enough it may become the truth. That, is a proven fascist tactic.

Funny how all those Ivy-League graduates rail against elitism. Again: how stupid do they think we are? And why do we work so very hard to prove it to them?

Chip you know that’s a lot of BS, you and your Republican friends are just trying to recapture that anger that brought Trump to power. Unfortunately for you people are starting to realize they’ve been had and the rich actually don’t give a crap about anyone but the rich.

How do you think plumbers pay for their training? Pell Grants, student loans, VA benefits. Please just stop.
