Things were going good. I hired two more illegals that I can pay under the table. Gave another thousand to trump’s legal fund. Bought a trump hat made in China. Drove on roads that taxes paid for.
That unconstitutional here-comes-the-midterms-and we-need-help scam would be better used giving this guy $10k towards that new truck. But as I said, it’s unconstitutional so this hardworking fellow won’t be paying for somebody else’s student loan debt.
Why are rightwingers so afraid of having the best doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc., possible that they insist that proper education be too expensive for most people?
Here is the National Taxpayers Union Foundation’s analysis of the amount that taxpayers will pay:
The average cost of student debt cancelation per taxpayer making between $1 and $50,000 is $158.27;
The average cost per taxpayer making between $50,000 and $75,000 is $866.87;
The average cost per taxpayer making between $75,000 and $100,000 is $1,477.78;
The average cost per taxpayer making between $100,000 and $200,000 is $3,158.35; and
The average cost per taxpayer making between $200,000 and $500,000 is $9,947.92.
This is over 10 years time, so divide each of these by ten and you get the annual cost.
I figure that that truck driver makes between $75K and $100K so he will pay $148 in taxes per year. If he needs a loan or another job to cover that, then he’s doing it wrong.
Back when America was Great Again, tax rates topped out at 90% (which no one paid, because of deductions, etc.), and business taxes accounted for about 1/2 of total tax revenue collected.
These days, it accounts for about 1/3.
.
Not to worry, though. It’s gonna trickle down any day now.
And then those with a university education will go on to much higher paying jobs and will pay much higher taxes, paying back the investment of cancelling their loans ten fold to the benefit of all Americans.
Oops, sorry; was that thinking too far ahead for you?

The man should be more upset that he pays $8,000 a year in taxes to subsidize Lester’s yearly Medicare premiums.

Seems that Lester cannot accept “leveling the playing field.”

Absolute lie Mr. Lester and you know it! No taxpayer will ever have to pay for that loan forgiveness because it will never be paid for!

I think we need to take away the government from the politicians. Bad managers.

Why do you find it necessary to tell lies? This is total BS and you have to know it. It’s not even good sarcasm.

I get your point. Why should I have to pay for firemen to put out the house down the street? My house didn’t catch fire.

This cartoon is so disingenuous. Everybody knows Republicans just put everything on the tab for future generations to pay.
