Cannot blame Hollywood as the one and only culprit for addiction, it is popular culture in general, it all began in the 60s… Come on Ramirez, remember Woodstock?
BS. This is a money driven business where the supplier has zero sunk cost. Money is prevalent and US society is willing and ready to use (always has been). Hollywood is telling a story that has always existed.
Let’s see. First it was comic books. Then it was violent video games (which also made normal folk pick up high powered weapons and indiscriminately mow down innocent people), Then it was rap music. Now it’s Hollywood. Who’s the next bogie man to blame? How about people struggling to earn enough for the basics of home, food, health care, etc? How about people able to live in decent neighborhoods?
I guess that Rameriez has nothing to say these days. Abortion is proving to be toxic as is the former President. He can’t draw about climate disasters, he’d have to admit have to admit climate change is a thing. Inflation is going down. Gas prices are going down. Unemployment is low, so….
Let’s make up some sh*t about Hollywood glorifying drugs.
I lay much of the blame on JCAHO pushing “pain as the fifth vital sign” in the 90s. Providers were required to ask patients about their subjective experience of pain and to treat pain once it was claimed. The Opioid crisis was soon born.
Drug Pusher?? Look at network television or cable news, especially in daytime — endless commercials for prescription drugs, many of which are intended for only a small (even tiny) minority of viewers — and the list of possible side effects (always stated to upbeat background music, as though they are pleasant) is often longer than the original pitch for the drug.
As one who supervised both users and sellers, we the US are one fueling the drug market. Even the strong chance of death does slow the fu**ing demand that we put on the sale of illegal drugs!

Thinking Steppenwolf here. (“The Pusher”, and to a lesser extent, “Don’t Step on the Grass, Sam”.)

It always pains me to see Ramirez incredible artistic abilities sabotaged by his political perspective.

Drug laws and gun control: both have racist roots and are racially enforced. Eliminate both!

Fun fact, drugs weren’t a problem before Pop Culture took off in the 1960’s. Look it up, it’s true.

Reminds me of the gambling sites, first bet is free. Like the drug pushers, first taste is free. Gotta get’em hooked.

No one “pushes” drugs. They offer them. They sell them. They take orders and fulfill them. But no on gets drugs pushed on them.
