    Why’d captain Morpeth decide upon aviation anyway? To combat his acrophobia?

    It seems that the more he drinks. The more his spirit of flight leaves him.

    Sorry, Affie—but this strip is NOT funny. It resembles too many other strips where Capp is the falling-down drunk!!

    But at least, the colorist seems to have run out of lavender paint.

    I had my honeymoon in Morpeth… less than an hour’s drive north of Hartlepool…

    I guess ole Capt. Bill reckons he can “fly on a wing and a prayer”, so long as “God is his co-pilot”!

    My first time on a plane was in 2004. I didn’t mind it at all. The only scary thing about it was when it eventually tilted up into the air and threw us backwards.

    Not to mention the terrible ear popping! Haha.

    @Afficionado

    Hey, Affie.

    Unfortunately the meet up with family was cancelled. One of them had fallen asleep early last night and missed taking her medication so she was suffering from withdrawal. Not very nice at all.

    If I’m completely honest, I didn’t much feel like going out anyway. It was too warm for my liking and just wanted to stay home. But of course I still would have went. That cafe is not far away from me. It’s within walking distance.

    Enjoy your favourite nosh today, pal. I’m having mine as well.

    Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal. See you after the weekend!

    The only worse career choice would be an aquaphobic person getting a job as a lifeguard.

    It’s so late at night, probably everyone’s done reading this page…but in case anyone wonders later why I’ve been exhibiting unwonted restraint, I’m off to camp in the woods of Massachusetts tomorrow, so won’t be checking in for a week. Very happy to be away from internet and mail otherwise, but will miss your entertaining comments, all.
