It could be the 5 Catholic justices that voted to rescind Roe may well have been effected as much as anything by their religion. Though they used much legalese to justify their decision, there is increasing distrust in the fairness of the high court from the nation.

To quote Monty Python: “I banged me gavel…”

Keep your fabricated god off of women’s rights to be human. We are capable of making our own important decisions.

Pretty sure if there is/was a god, it does not approve of people using it’s name to make their own backwards regressive laws.

Mike Pence was half right when he said the majority justices in Dobbs “had the courage of their convictions”. Not the “courage” part; it doesn’t require much courage to do whatever the hëll you feel like when you’ve got a lifetime appointment with a handsome guaranteed salary. No, it was the “their convictions” part — their personal religious convictions, not the law of the land, certainly not the science or medicine.

The decision of those 6 Catholics was based on a “C” document, all right: not the Constitution but rather the Catholic Catechism.

The Christian nationalists who dominate today’s Supreme Court at like more than one kind of KKK. There’s also this one: “Kinder, Küche, Kirche” —Nazi slogan describing proper role for women as being children, kitchen, and church

Contraception is next. Six of the Justices are Catholic. The Catholic position on contraception was formally explained and expressed by Pope Paul VI’s Humanae vitae in 1968. Artificial contraception is considered intrinsically evil, but methods of natural family planning may be used, as they do not usurp the natural way of conception.

So he deal is, everyone in the USA is mandated to uphold HIPPA…except for anyone who has a uterus.

It is, after all, about state’s rights!
