Why people keep electing GQP insurrectionists is completely baffling to me. Look for even more chaos after the 2022 midterms.

Which is why state elections have become critical so that Republicans can’t seize the reins of controlling elections.

That we have a situation where consensus is a rarity points out the insanity of our winner-take-all BINARY political system which excludes the Independent plurality [about 40%] and the other party [about 30%] leaving a minority faction in control.

Republicans want elections to be like professional wrestling: lots of shouting, scripted, planned outcome, and highly appealing to the poorly educated.

Right, like Sussman was found innocent after they found the receipt for the Thump drive that was charged to Hillary, contained the so-called evidence against Trump and Sussman said he wasn’t working for anyone to the FBI.

The fascists in Florida just threatened the Special Olympics with a $27.5 million fine unless they dropped their requirement for the participants to be vaccinated for covid, so Special Olympics caved. They should have canceled the entire games and told Desantis to go f*** himself.

What Peter Navarro Did After His First Court Appearance Is Truly Bizarre

Trump adviser, charged with contempt of Congress, is part of a sketchy regime-change group.

On Saturday, Navarro was in New York, praising the New Federal State of China, a supposed government-in-waiting for Beijing launched in 2020 by Guo Wengui—also known as Miles Guo, an exiled Chinese businessman—and Steve Bannon, another former Trump aide. Navarro last year became “an international ambassador” for the group. It’s not clear what, if any, responsibilities that role entails. And Navarro has not responded to questions about what he may be paid.

It was the anniversary gala for the New Federal State of China, a supposed government in exile dedicated to the overthrow of the CCP, launched by Guo and Bannon at another surreal event one year before. On that occasion, Guo signed a declaration of principles in his own blood and, declaring “Love you,” planted a kiss on an uncomfortable-looking Bannon as planes dragged congratulatory banners overhead. The launch was held in New York harbor with the Statue of Liberty and the Lady May, Guo’s $28 million, 150-foot yacht, in the background. That is the same boat on which federal agents arrested Bannon later that summer on charges of defrauding donors in a quixotic campaign to fund border-wall construction…

The NFSC has no full-time staff and no website, and it is not even a legally incorporated entity. What funding it receives seems to flow from the Rule of Law Society and the Rule of Law Foundation, nonprofits launched by Guo and Bannon. The two organizations are part of a web of more than 60 commercial, nonprofit, and online groups that Guo controls—what the mogul and his far-right adviser call the “whistleblower movement.”

Chinese businessman Guo Wengui says he will drop personal bankruptcy case

Exiled Chinese businessman Guo Wengui has said he will drop his personal bankruptcy case because he says he does not have the money to cover the associated legal costs.

Guo, the former real estate magnate who fled China for the U.S. in 2014 ahead of corruption charges, said in court papers filed on Wednesday that he would not contest a call for his Chapter 11 case to be thrown out by a fund that loaned money to Guo’s companies.

Despite Guo’s own desire to end the bankruptcy, the committee representing his unsecured creditors have opposed PAX’s motion to dismiss the case. The committee argued in a Wednesday filing that while PAX, as the largest creditor, may benefit from ending the case because they already have a court judgment in their favor, the rest of his 159 creditors would be left with no ability to collect on the $373.8 million in debts they say they are owed.

Trump Wants Children’s Book Defending ‘King Donald’ In ‘Every School In America’

Former President Donald Trump is peddling a children’s book written by a former member of his administration that stars “King Donald” and reimagines a kingdom where the “Russionians” weren’t a factor in the 2016 election.

Now Trump wants to distribute the book to children across the land. “Let’s put this amazing book in every school in America,” Trump posted on Truth Social last week.

Trump Led ‘Multifaceted Criminal Conspiracy’ To Destroy Democracy, Says George Conway

Conservative attorney George Conway on Sunday accused former President Donald Trump of leading a “multifaceted criminal conspiracy” aimed at shutting down a legitimate election and overthrowing democracy.

Conway, the husband of Trump’s one-time White House aide Kellyanne Conway, blasted the former president as head of the conspiracy to Jake Tapper on CNN ahead of Thursday’s first televised hearing of the House select committee investigating last year’s Jan. 6 insurrection.

“The fact of the matter is … this was an attempted coup; this was an attempt to overthrow democracy,” Conway said. “It was an attempt to stop, dead in its tracks, on Jan. 6, the peaceful transition of power — and that’s a coup,” he added.

“It was a multi-faceted criminal conspiracy led by the president of the United States to stop — by whatever means necessary — the proper counting of electoral votes under the 12th Amendment,” Conway declared.

This is actually not quite right. The Dem would — in reality — still be doing the badmouthing for the cameras about the gop, they wouldn’t actually step into the ring if they could help it.

Gerrymander is the Utah way, which Mike Lee never mentions, yet he calls himself a Constitutional scholar. The kinda guy who equates Trump as a hero he’d support despite the January 6th insurrection. Fascists need a better education.
