It went above his head.

The King is dim witted. “How dim witted is he?” The King is SO dim witted, the graffti artist needed to dumb it down.

When you can’t see the main point you can’t get it (and that’s a fact).

The King is short, short-sighted and short-tempered. Those are all facts.

It went way over his head in that one

That obviously went over his head. (sigh, I had to say it.)

He needs a really tall ladder and scratch out short

Brings me back to my college days. We had an electrical engineering professor who was teaching the electromagnetism class. A sadistic professor teaching a sadistic class.

He was also only slightly over 5 feet tall. So one day, before class, someone wrote “ You are too short to touch this” on top of the blackboard.

It didn’t help his sadistic streak.

He’s also just… short.
