We must if we want to remain informed. Of course there’s “wake up, you fool” versus “wake up from actually sleeping”.

I prefer the news at the breakfast table or en route to work.

Nah I honestly stop reading news but I’m pretty sure it hurt more than help me

I never listen to the news; if I do, I’ll get woke and we can’t have that.

I read the news. I don’t have it spoon fed to me. I don’t like being told what I’m supposed to think or even what’s important and what isn’t. Actually, that is my problem: I DO think. I am too much of a skeptic to believe something just because I like it.

Inflation, war, stalled cargo ships, Covid variants….all the root cause. Guns, bombs, violence, all because lack of legislation from bribed politicians, NRA, etc.

Kinda sucky these days…

Since radio doesn’t carry much music anymore, it’s either the news or just an annoying beep-beep-beep of an alarm. (Of course, at my age, just waking up means it’s a good day.)

I can deal with those headlines. It’s the validation of lies, hatred, and inhumanity by so many that wakes me up at night.

I like that weird cross-hatching on the covers. Somehow emphasizes the weirdness of the situation.
