Elly will be relieved to know April goes to Liz and not to her to sleep with. After all, she needs her beauty sleep from a long day of cleaning, cooking and working. April naturally goes to Liz since she shared the room with her big sister since birth.

Ahem! That’s not a glass case, Elizabeth, but a coffin. Best not tell little April you feel comforted by imagining you are lying in a glass coffin.

Seems like Elizabeth is a better “mother” than Elly.

But then, April is an “oops” baby!!

At least April is too young to know but in the original Snow White version the glass case is really a coffin because the Dwarfs thought Snow White was actually dead. No help that her skin was perpetually white as a ghost even when alive.

I wonder if this is a hidden easter egg, but in the first panels where the kids are awake the stuffed teddy bear is pictured as fast asleep, but in the last panel when the kids are asleep the bear has become wide awake. Homage to old cartoons where toys come alive?

My baby brother & I shared a room for his first almost 3 years. When he out grew his crib we tried sharing my bed, but it was a twin & I usually ended up on the floor…so I just started sleeping on the floor. When my oldest sister got married & moved out I moved into her half of the room she shared with my other sister. Since she was away at college, my little brother often came up & had “sleepovers” in my room.

    Lynn’s Comments:

As a child, this is something I did. I would imagine I was safe inside a big glass case and that nothing could harm me all night long. Strangely, when I was newly divorced and going through some really difficult times, I would again lock myself inside an imaginary` glass case so I could manage the nights alone. You are never too far away from being a kid inside!

It’s nice that she went to Elizabeth. Usually, kids go to Mom. Sleep tight girls. (Sleep tight? What the heck does that even mean?)

Just wait until April gets a little older, and then starts going through Elizabeth’s stuff… The sweetness will end!

I had 2 Sisters and 1 brother, they were all older by at leat 10 years. I used to joke I had 3 mothers, mom and my two sisters. Only the youngest of my siblings, my sister are still alive. we all had a lot of fun together, I still stay in close contact with my sister.

Awww. How sweet. My little brother never came to my room when he was scared. I don’t even know that he went to my parents’ room much. He might have once during a thunderstorm.

If she wants to stay in the baby bed, and you don’t need it for another baby, why not let her?

My younger sister and I had twin beds in the same room. When she had a nightmare, she’d get up and walk around to my bed and get in with me so I could protect her.
