I think it’s fun that when I mention Wikipedia to some of the folks here who comment from the right, they tell me that it’s absolutely not a good source because it’s entirely written by anybody who wants to. Which isn’t true, by the way…

Now compare that to an unmoderated Twitter which they will claim is exactly what the world NEEDS.

Does anybody else see the problem here?

People need to be reminded regularly to take stuff you see on twitter and other information “outlets” need to be taken with a lot more than a grain of salt.

What I’ve read is, twitter lost $100 M last year and a $100m the year before. Maybe elon wants to show them how to lose a ton of $$$ . These web creatures have a short life span.

People don’t need moderation to post accurate, non-racist/sexist, non-delusional Tweets…dang, I almost was able to write that without a straight face.

Time for Twitter users to abandon that platform. It was becoming stale anyway.

There are legal limits to ‘free speech’.

Right wing fascists are into devolution. They keep driving the USA backward, we are still fighting the same fights from the 1960’s because lying traitor republicans refuse to accept the will of the majority.

No problem at all. Free speech is or should be the default. Any attempt to throttle one side or the other is against the US Constitution. Free speech is what the internet is all about. You are free here to state your opinions, others say post their disagreement. That is a good thing.

Funny but liberals start out preaching free speech and free love and all, until they get in power, then they turn fascist and try to throttle conservative speech and ideas. You literally have a Michigan AG who arrested a women who dared to go on Fox news and complain about her. There are calls from leftist icons to restrict speech and that disagreeing with what the government says is true should be punished as a crime. Da, comrade, Pravda is what you preach. Lefties are little better than Putin when it comes to freedom of speech or religion.

With the crap I see on Twitter now, especially coming from Trump, Jr. ; Ronny Jackson; Boebert; Green; and Bongino, I don’t see this “deregulation” making it too much worse. Then again, I don’t depend on Twitter or FB for information, so…
