    I remember having a problem where I had a car accident and couldn’t get one of the turning signals to work as a result so I did it manually and used hand signals.

    Very good Ernie. Of course, if it doesn’t come on, then it’s not working. But if it stays on that’s a problem (it’s not working right), too. [Then again, you don’t want your left turn signal to work right, you want it to work correctly.]

    I was following a car in Madison the other day that actually had its turn signal flashing. After half a dozen blocks, I finally figured out that that must have been its factory default setting.
