This time, about 10 years ago, Richard posted a special CdS blog entry, which I already pointed to in my March 24, 2017 (change 2022/03/25 to 2017/03/24 in the address bar) comment; so, I won’t repeat it here.

I also pointed to other 2012 CdS blog entries by him in my 2017 March 27, April 23, April 27, April 29, April 30, May 1, May 7, May 27, June 4 (Adobe Flash is no longer supported – ignore that part of comment), August 18, and sadly September 24 comments; again, those strips will run a day later this year; but, I’m getting too old to stay up after midnight to repeat the comments and don’t plan on posting them.

For reasons I don’t understand, my 2017 May 13, May 16, July 3, August 8, and August 25 CdS 2012 blog related comments have been removed by the Moderator; really saps my enthusiasm for doing this. Regardless, the 2012 blog entries around those date are still available to read, 6 years after his passing.

Then what kind of humour do you prefer, Petey?

Quick review: Panel 1: good, artwork fairly accurate; Panel 2: fair; Panel 3: angry faced Madeline out of character; Panel 4: Petey would not allow a freshly ointmented Alice into his room.

When I was her age, I called it “Oink-ment”.

I felt like doing that the first time I got nitrous oxide from the dentist.

I was curious about the name of the book/magazine which Petey is reading: Steig – a German term meaning “steep path” that originally referred to a narrow footpath over hills or mountains

“Ointment” is a pretty funny word. Better a laughing child than a screaming one.

“Topical” is a nicely sly pun.

Careful Petey, that is the second quip from you in as many weeks. We wouldn’t want a rash of humor to develop, now would we?

Oh my! Petey just made a pun! My Hero is becoming sociable, and that’s scary….
