I couldn’t afford comic books, so after my older brother went to college, I snuck into his room and read his collection. Bouncing Boy was a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
He was actually pretty tough — his rotundity was due to his super-power. He also had a sense of humour, which wasn’t very common in DC, even in that much less grimdark era. I remember he ended up marrying one of the other Legionnaires, Duo Damsel.
