It is interesting to me how so many of the critics of the critics’ response is “don’t read it”. Does this reflect their own philosophy of not considering the “other side”? Just stay in the echo chamber?

While I could do without the ad hominem posts (by anybody), I was always taught (and taught) that it was important to try to understand an argument, even if you didn’t agree with it. Does “self-censoring” promote that understanding?
