Dead people don’t vote(well, some dead Republicans do, but they are few); they don’t yell and scream about second amendment right, either. And I have yet to hear a dead person declare, “If I had only had a gun….” Politicians seem respond mostly to the screamers.

2 parter—It is very hard to find incidents of actual self-defense by armed citizens. It happens but not nearly at the rate that unarmed citizens are killed—purposely or by accident. It seems that often the most vocal second amendment defenders are also most vocal about limiting other citizens’ rights—like the right to disagree.
