Twisty. Apparently, in your alternate universe, supposition and imagination replace medical science and fact. Protecting against dangerous diseases is not quite the same as “But, since we don’t know….”

Oops. This is NOT a federal versus states rights issue. It is a human rights issue. Neither the federal government nor any state government has any constitutional authority to interfere in personal decisions that are really nobody’s business but the citizen who makes the decision.

For some of us, this makes sense. Even though you once labeled the boxes, they no longer contain what’s labelled. After the holidays, the decorations expand so that what comes out of the boxes never fits back in(that’s why they are mislabelled). Brad’s plan simplifies all this and allows the neighbors to “just imagine how magnificently the house is decorated.”

You illuminated my point exactly. “The people” have rights that though not specifically granted in the Constitution or its Amendments are never the less as protected as those enumerated in the first eight amendments. And note that only after individual rights “retained by the people” are state rights mentioned. Parents with a contempt for “book larnin’” pass that on. And parents with genetically inherited traits which inhibit learning(or, at least, make learning difficult) also pass that on.

I’m pretty sure “right-wing populists” is an oxymoron. I think that “Grand Old Party of nincompoops” is an example of redundancy. Though not of your party, I am saddened that Progressive Republicans are being shouted down by a very small cabal far-right, naysayer conservatives.
