Evidently, Merrick Garland has more class than Ramirez.

Excellent depiction of the reality,Mr. Ramirez. To see a perfect example of this absurd reasoning for qualification for high office in this country, check out our sorry excuse for a Vice-president.

Republican Philosophy: 95% of all Supreme Court Justices have been white men? What an outrage. That’s not nearly enough!

Garland is already living his other dream job as USAG. Now, he can bring about real change without having to consult the other 8 justices.

Yeah, because that’s what kept Garland off the court. Not the fact that McConnell refused to do his duty under the Constitution (advice and consent of the Senate, which was never done).

If you ask those on Fox Spews, black women cannot be as qualified as white (“American”) men. It looks like Ramirez is thinking along those lines.

The last thing SCOTUS needs in one more party hack. By insisting on a gender/race Brandon cheapens the process even more than it already has been.

Yeah, Ramirez, you go ahead and conveniently forget why Garland isn’t already on the court. That level of cognitive dissonance is epic!

Actually, based on the stereotype that black women are angry I would say that Kavanaugh fits the profile much better than Garland.

It turns out that someone has ALREADY tried the “I identify as a black woman” (that person had always identified as female). She got caught and lost quite a bit of her life as she wished she knew it. I get that Ramirez has to push past the limits of reality (this is also known, by the way, as “lying”) to make his point as strongly as possible, but let’s just remember that he is lying, here.

As for the “identify as female” part? It’s generally well known that people who do eventually do that have been considering it more or less “forever” — with exceptions for the (overly religious) folks who can’t stand the IDEA of being misgendered even though they ARE misgendered. Garland has never shown the slightest sign of any such thing. And of course, as @VegaAlopex points out, he WOULD BE on the Supreme court if everyone (Mitch McConnell) in the Senate had behaved lawfully.

To be qualified for the Supreme Court you have to understand and respect Constitutional guarantees of civil liberties. That ain’t Garland’s strength. He could be up for a court appointment in Putin’s Russia, however.
