SKelley has found something else to be OUTRAGED!!! about.

After all the support and contributions he and other Trump Disciples have given to women’s sports over the decades.

NCAA has announced that the sub-organization for each sport will make the rules for their own sport, which seems something like reasonable.

I would prefer (at least in the thinking stage) that each sport have at least three tiers (not including youths). Any person may participate in any sport, but you WILL be put into the tier that best matches their current status. At the bottom level, you compete with folks who aren’t physically adept or/and who have mediocre skills “intramural”. At the mid level, you would be competing with folks who ARE adept with good skills and are in good physical condition (college team). At the top level, you’re competing with people who are in excellent condition, have excellent skills, and are crazy enough to spend serious time doing this sport (pro). There’s no gender issue at all: You compete where you fit. Because humans exhibit sexual dimorphism, athletes at the very top level in physical sports will probably be mostly genetically male, BUT I DON’T CARE. And note that, for instance, what’s now “women’s gymnastics” requires a small body (with excellent strength) so there’s at least one sport where genetic males don’t fit well. Crew might work that way too? But if you’re a guy, small, motivated to do that sport, you’d be allowed to try out, no prejudice.

Prove to me that thousands of transgender athletes are taking the championship title over hundreds-of-thousands of cis-gender athletes, but I really DON’T CARE. Either Sport is sport, or Sport is a money-making Profit Industry. What’s next, banning Rock-n-Roll?

A biological dude swimming against girls is simply unfair to women. He’s free to believe he’s a girl and act like a girl and live his life as a girl, but I do not think it’s right for him to compete against biological women. He’s also taking away a spot on the team from a deserving young woman. Totally unfair.

    Three things:

There isn’t a sport I am aware of that utilizes the Penis.Using Kelly’s transphobic logic, if strength and endurance is a determining factor, athletes like the Williams sisters would have been required to play as men.If people (like Kelly) who attempt to argue against Transgender accept that man came from a handful of dust and woman from a rib, they have no valid opinion on Transgender.

yes, but how would you feel if you were in college, and a woman wanted to join the football,or baseball team? they still wont let women in those, but yet they expect women to allow transgender males into our sports!

Given the science and technology that is used to shape our athletes.. can we even call it sport anymore? Mere pawns used to show the power of the country where anything to get an advantage is taken.. Might just as well put it out in the open and let the full range of zombies go at it.

Yep, there are ALL these 16 and 17 year-old mediocre boy athletes who have their testes and penises surgically removed, and go on an estrogen regimen, in order to get a high-school championship.

    Just millions of ’em….

(I shouldn’t have to put in a “/sarcasm” tag, but who knows?)

I think the transgendered should compete against each other. Form their own teams, leagues, and all that. It’s only fair. If there aren’t enough of them, too bad, that’s just the way it is.

It’s just not fair to female athletes to compete with transgendered people. Sexual dimorphism is a real biological thing. Transgender people are full, complete humans, of course, and as deserving of empathy and love as anyone else. But, in my view, their dysmorphic problem comes with compromises. One of those compromises is that you won’t be able to participate in sports. There are MANY, MANY other compromises these folks already face, but that’s part of their struggle.

I find it very disturbing that for decades conservatives have ignored and underfunded women’s sports…even mocked them openly. And now all of the sudden they claim the role of protector from a threat that they made up solely for the purpose of uniting hateful ignorant people under their banner and get their votes.

It’s not right to have male bodies with brains that think they’re female and the muscles of a male competing against women. A trans man is not a women. They have not gone through what a woman has to go through from birth. No matter how much they want to be a woman they aren’t. I and most people don’t care how trans men dress or whether they cut their ‘equipment off’ and make a hole and eat tons of hormones and grow breasts, they are still not women physically and it’s not sportsman like or fair to compete with women in athletics.

Men who change gender just to excel as women in sports are going to be just as mediocre as women as they were as men. If those men were any good, they would stay men simply because male pro sports is where the big money is.

Those who have been saying “follow the science” seem to be ignorant of the science. Gender identity is not always so clear at birth.

I wouldn’t be surprised if one were to dig into the past of these same people, there would be a lot of homophobic ideas and opposition to same sex marriage. They use this sports issue to couch their prejudices against the transgender people.

I’m predicting a lot of denial coming up.

Much as I feel for the trans community, there is room for abuse. Especially, from countries that have pushed the envelope of abusing their athletes with drugs in order to win. It’s one thing to change genders, because of how you feel as a person. It’s a whole other, when your country orders you to change genders in order to win gold medals.

I’m not really worried about the opportunists, as they will be far and few, as it’s a big decision to make with life altering changes to your body and medication schedules to keep up on just to try for a physical edge in a sport.

As long as we’re going to segregate sports into women’s and men’s sports and leagues, we’ll have to wrestle with this question about what constitutes one or the other. Just as athletics are bifurcated, what criteria/ion determine(s) which will have to be specific as well.

The division here is not between progressives and conservatives, unless you’re ready to insist that folks like Gloria Steinem, Martina Navratilova, and J. K. Rowling are in the same tribe as Laura Ingraham and Marjorie Taylor Greene. The fundamental problem in debating the issue is that no one can provide a neutral, principled basis for asserting that Caitlyn Jenner is a woman but that Rachel Dolezal is not African-American. It used to be that the “progressive” position was that people should not be expected to confirm to gender stereotypes/expectations. Now a “progressive” position seems to be that people who do not conform to those standards must be assigned to new genders. This does not seem more reasonable to me.

I hate to agree, but there is a difference between gender and sex. Gender is the expression of sexuality, your sex is what you bring into this world. Men are bigger, stronger and faster then women. It’s hard coded in our genes. Altering your body and your behavior can not change that. Saying you are a man or a woman does not make it so if you were not born that way anymore than me saying I’m the pope, makes me the pope.

Is this a huge problem or scandal? No it is not. The number of men who would cross dress so that they can peek in the ladies room is probably smaller than the number who would peek anyway. The number of trans athletes is pretty small. It’s not worth the shouting people do.
