Then what is the parents’ job when it comes to helping with their kids’ homework?

The parent’s job is to make sure that the homework gets done; not to actually do the homework.

I’m so glad that my kids were out of school before that Common Core gibberish took hold. I think Einstein would have condemned it.

Ethically, he couldn’t admit to that.

I never once asked my parents for help with homework in junior high or high school. Basically it was because I knew it had been many years since they were in school, and I did not expect them to remember most of that stuff. Plus, I knew it was for me to do.

Well, I’ve used Peter’s logic a few times with my children and then when the kids learned how to do it, they came and “reviewed it” with me. We both learned.

Better for us collectively and individually.

Andy could point out that if he offered to sit down and look over the problem with Peter, maybe they both would learn something (of course, she also could have offered to help Peter). But between their two positions as articulated in the last panel, I’m on Roger’s side.
