If the Internet was down, how could we read—and comment on—this strip??

One nice thing about our last move, we are on the same power and Internet grids as the State Capitol and everything is underground. Didn’t even have a glitch during last year’s ice storm.

A few years ago, a hurricane struck my city. I had no phone service for a few hours. Then the phone service came back on and I lost internet service instead. I felt more isolated without internet service than I felt without phone service.

Society has gone missing….communication skills have lessened, carpal tunnel has increased ten-fold.

When Osama Bin Laden was killed, the Times reported that he was too scared to use the internet because we might track him. So the joke was he must have gotten a lot more stuff done.

Sadly, this is me……………………
