Vice president Dick Cheney shot a lawyer, non-lethally, “by accident” while out hunting w/ Dubya and some ceteras.

Liz Cheney, though, has already been thrown under the GQP bus, so has nothing to lose by taking on the, ahem, elephant in the room.

and with McConnell’s recent take on the Jan 6 sedition and the “particulars” involved, we might be seeing an elephantine swivel from support for those caught red handed in Trump’s sedition. Ha! and they want to be certain they ain’t one of them.

“But I do think we’re all watching, as you are, what is unfolding on the House side, and it will be interesting to reveal all the participants involved.” McConnell

Having trouble seeing the cartoons with all the billboard size pop-up ads covering them. Is this just me? Maybe my old computer is going bad or it’s just the season to sell me something?

And yet she didn’t fight against measures such as McTurtle blocking Obama’s nomination of Garland, rushing through Barrett-Cohen’s Supreme Court hearing, Trump’s non-actions on Covid, and is still opposed to gun control, abortion and the Affordable Care Act. Supposedly she has reversed her opinion on gay marriages after fiercely opposing it for years.

Never thought much of the Cheney family. But I do admire Liz for attempting to set the record straight. An odd position for a republican to take but very refreshing. Sad that more don’t have the courage to do the same.

    Is it Watergate yet?

Cheney’s question was apparently prompted by the revelation of a series of texts between former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and several members of Congress on Jan. 6 as the assault on the Capitol was underway. “We know hours passed with no action by the president to defend the Congress of the United States from an assault while we were trying to count electoral votes,” Ms. Cheney stated grimly. “Mr. Meadows’s testimony will bear on a key question in front of this committee: Did Donald Trump, through action or inaction, corruptly seek to obstruct or impede Congress’s official proceeding to count electoral votes?”

“In closed-door interviews held in a nondescript federal office building near the Capitol, Ms. Cheney has emerged as a leader and central figure on the panel, known for drilling down into the details of the assignment she views as the most important of her political career. She is well-versed in the criminal code and often uses language borrowed from it to make clear she believes the former president and others face criminal exposure.”

According to the Times, Cheney has also “pressed to assemble a team of former intelligence analysts and law enforcement specialists on the committee’s staff, some of them Republicans — a move that bolstered the committee’s bipartisan bona fides.”

Is euthanzing a corruption-ridden, disease spreading entity a good thing or not? The disease that the dRumpth cult has caused is much more damaging than just 800,000+ dead from covid-19. The adrenaline addiction caused by the Orange turd and his enablers has infected millions of Americans turning them into violence junkies. Could adrenaline addiction actually cause the destruction of our American Constitution? Mmmm? Looking at the long history of “cause and effect/the rise and fall” of nations… there’s a possibility that outside meddling and the stirring up of uncontrolled violence among people who actually want a return to the good old days could become the death knell of “the great experiment”. Why else pass the destructive laws that take away voting rights? That take away the freedom of information? That take away self-determination for more than half the population?mmmm?
