Nah, daily walks rule! I go to the university campus and walk, admiring all the bucolic splendor the family’s alumni donations have funded. At the bookstore I always ask for the professor’s discount claiming I am the Undocumented Temporary Adjunct Professor of Homeless Studies Emeritus. Usually they call security……..

I used to have a sedentary job, and did not really care to go for walks. After a recent change to more active employment and now 40 pounds lighter, my view of taking walks has improved considerably.

Get him a dog – a big dog. Then he’ll have to go for a walk at least 3-4 times per day. Worked for me.

She should go pick herself out a dog suited to her actual walking needs. Maybe two dogs. Now when it’s so cold my dog won’t go, I go anyway. I just get her out long enough to do what she isn’t allowed to do inside.

18 degrees this morning and windy. The muddy trails were still frozen, great time to hike.

Muddy? A lot of spring rain. Although where I am, it could end up being freezing in May. We’ve had snow in May.
