“Americans look for strength and competence.

I won’t argue that SOME US voters are looking for that. Possibly even a majority of the liberals. It’s very clear that the majority of GQP voters aren’t looking for anything that I would call “competence”.

PS: As a septuagenarian, I have learned to look for strength of purpose and the inclination and ability to recruit good people to help do the work.

Is Mr. Rall is borrowing the “Biden is senile” trope from the conserves? It certainly falls flat because of Biden’s predecessor who couldn’t even finish a sentence.

So Ted, you’re saying Nobody would be a better president?

    .

And policy is totally not important, right?

    .

What we need is someone who will project strength and confidence, like:

“I don’t take responsibility for ANY of it!”

“Kim and I… we fell in love.”

“We have to get to herd mentality. Yes, I said herd mentality! We MUST get there!”

“What are the oranges of the investigation?”

“I asked Putin and he denied it. He STRONGLY denied it!”

    .

Thanks, Ted, I feel better already.

As I stated before, I’m not a Biden fan. But that has to do more about his centrist politics rather than the character of the man himself. Voters tend to gravitate towards candidates that have similar emotional characteristics and mores. MAGAts are paranoid, fearful, selfish, arrogant, immature, and lack any semblance of empathy. Anything goes if they get their way. In other words, they are much like your average two year old in a physically adult body. Biden supporters tend to be more confident, compassionate, considerate, introspective, seek real justice, and hold to rule of law. They are much like the adults in the room. After a four year non-stop temper tantrum, it was an incredible relief to have a POTUS that regardless of physical difficulties (remember FDR?), could at least project adult characteristics.

—) By golly, you’re right! We should have re-elected the Real Man who sniffed his own arm pits practically every five minutes to recharge his masculinity. And who so often proudly inhaled “the scent of a woman” from his fingertips. /s/ Why worry about CO2 when the fog of political testosterone is more rapidly choking us worldwide?

Strangely enough, one can reverse the names “Trump” and “Biden,” and the cartoon still works.

Passive, ineffectual, moderate Democrats are exactly what the Republicans need to sustain their minority possession of the government.

I would bet neither trump nor Biden could score a 70% on an 8th grade American History/Civics/Geography test. Both have shown signs of dementia and are just too old.

Unfortunately politicians get credit for what they say.. not what they do. trump says lots of inspiring words.. but his record on what happened is.. rather meagre. Joe, on the other hand does have trouble with inspiring rhetoric.. but is turning the country around in a positive way. Not that any republican would admit though.. although, they are quick to spin it as their doing when possible.

Inflation is at a 39-year high. Whether you believe bumbles biden is to blame or not, THAT isn’t helping. Hell, he even looks incompetent, so most people do believe he’s doing a poor job.

It’s temporary. While Biden has been working on the issues necessary to get control of the virus and bring us out of tRump’s recession, his priority was not his own popularity. After 4+ years of tRump who’s only priority was himself, some Americans lost sight of what a president is supposed to be. All that self promotion and adulation by tRump only got him poll numbers with highs that match Biden’s lows.

Joe Biden: 44% approval rating. Media goes nuts with stories like “Joe Biden’s policies to blame?”

trump: 44% approval rating. Media goes nuts with stories like “This shows people really like trump’s policies”

But tell us again how there is an alleged “left wing bias” in media….?

Everyone knows that CNN & MSNBC, CBS, ABC news hates Democrat ideas and slams anything Joe, Nancy & Chuck tries to do to help “real americans”. Remember Republicans hate the Military they want to defund Police and Fire and want to empty our prisons. The GOP thinks cash bail is racist idea. Jusse is a victim, Darrell Brooks is a victim of unintended acceleration and Rittenhouse is a White Power Assassin.

This doesn’t explain TFG, who is one of the least competent people on the planet and being a bully doesn’t project strength but shows weakness. China walked all over him. He wasn’t even a match for Kim.

Biden has a speech impediment, and has had it for his entire life. (He’s a stutterer. Like most stutterers, the way he overcomes it is mostly by speaking slowly and deliberately.) How is this the most important thing about his leadership skills? Seriously. Also, did you really only just now notice this? He’s had the stutter since early childhood.

You are mistaking hate and violence with strength and competence. True strength is gentle but gentleness is true strength.
