I started a betting pool the other day as to which would happen first. The last leaves dropping or the first snow. I bet on the snow and yesterday I won the pot.

I enjoy when Mr. Johnson waxes poetic but I don’t understand why he waited four weeks before lamenting October.

Yes, the best months – May and October (in my opinion – go much too quickly.

Does this cartoon seem a month behind its time to anyone else?

It hasn’t started snowing here in NYC yet, but the hawk has definitely made its presence felt! It’s gonna be a cold winter here in The Big Apple!

The nasturtiums are ignoring the weather change. We will see how they do with next week’s frosts.

I think it is merely waxing about how the time got away this year. We are looking at cold snowy December in a few days, and yet he pines for memories of lost October chances.

All the fall months went so slow here in Canada waiting patiently for Washington to reopen the border so I could get the trailer south into storage. not to happen though. Once more into the sideyard under a tarp.

We had the A/C on until very late October in FL, so I was glad to see that month finally end. Now it is too cold. We went from Summer to Winter without my favorite season.
