Different stages of life. The kids still think they have all the time in the world.

Johnson needs more coffee

Want what? The garden or the visit?

Janis created a special guest room and has a fantasy of the kids visiting but they are busy with their lives and can’t fulfill that fantasy to her expectations.

Both have lost their sense of humor…hapless Arlo and doldrum Janice!

They are adults and they will survive……

For heavens sake when are they going to just move closer to the kids? I mean, just get it over with.

They don’t want IT bad enough. What is she talking about? The adult children get to choose what is important to them in their lives. The mom has no say in it.

We don’t. Christmas is the one we want. The one that makes us feel all snuggly. Thanksgiving is just a PITA.

Just the two of us, I don’t gotta cook a turkey..just the two of us…he and I.I ruined that song. :)

As it seems that they are mostly retired now, and that they have few friends that we rarely see, it would be far easier for them to move down near their kids, wouldn’t it?
