I don’t think those concert tickets are of any use now. ;-)

The Furnace Creek hotel has an unheated outdoor swimming pool that’s like a bathtub.

There IS a mountain spring oasis in Furnace Creek, so that’s the creek, and there is a town in which people live in this hottest place with 24 people as of the 2010 census, BION.

For a moment I thought Dr. Clary was Christopher Walken.

The wallet had most likely been stolen from Colleen, and then ditched into the crawl space. No mention of any MONEY being left in the wallet, only items that a thief wouldn’t have any interest in.

Dr Noel Fitzpatrick, the “Super Vet”, does that all the time.

In this day and age, I’d be a bit skeptical if someone out of the blue contacted me claiming to have located something I lost years ago.

Hm, I’m wondering about the phrase “historic majestic ventura theater.” We don’t have capitalization to help us, so the question becomes: which are adjectives and which are parts of the name? I presume historic is an adjective RBION is using to describe it, but is majestic also an adjective? Or could the name really be “Majestic Ventura Theater”? Do I have to go to Ventura to find out?

Interestingly, internet research (including the theater’s own web site!) leave the question open.

1970 I was stationed at Ft. Indiantown gap PA after returning from Vietnam. My wallet was stolen out of my fatigue pants one night. 45 years 5 months later I was contacted by an electrician doing renovations on the barracks. He found my wallet in a wall cavity. Apparently the thief had to ditch the wallet in a hurry and never was able to recover it. My wallet complete with all contents (drivers license, military ID, pictures, ticket stubs from “Hair” that I saw in Sydney while on R&R, $5.00 and other misc ) was returned. Thanks Derek.

Back in the mid 70s, I visited Deadwater in Death Valley. There was only a weather instrument shelter there, and I was able to peer through the slats. The temperature that day was 128.

I love jokes. I stumbled on them here one day, and now I am hooked. Thanks for posting and for me, nothing is off the table. It’s a joke.
