Hubby used to feed “just the last little bit” in the bowl of Haagen Dazs ice cream to the mini dachsie. (The “bit” being probably 5 tablespoonsful!) On seeing her after a few months, the vet inquired, “Have you been feeding her people food?” I tattled – “Just ice cream!” I then promised the vet that I would be doing all the feeding of the dogs from then on. (Though I suspect now and then a wee treat was shared when I wasn’t home, lol) .
