Went shopping today. Probably 100 or so people in the store. Spouse and I wore two of the approximately dozen masks I saw. Also the pharmacists and about 4 or 5 other customers. This after our governor (much despised by the right wingers) asked us to again mask up inside.

All because of the non-vaxxers who should only reap their consequences ASAP.

Its the end of the world as we know it. AKA, masking, the new normal.

I, being in a couple of high risk catagories, old, fat, have never stopped with the mask while in public spaces. I don’t see it as any sort of inconvenience since I spent a lot of my working life wearing a dust mask eight or ten hours a day.

I’m waiting for the Banana State of Arkansas to outlaw masks. They have done everything else.

Looks like we’re going back to masks. Oh well. I got 200 of the darn things, might as well use ’em up.

Can they be worn as yarmulkes on windy days? They hook over the ears and won’t get blown off.

So, I’m vaccinated and will get mildly ill if I catch covid. But, I can transmit the virus to those knobs who did not get the shot(s) for whatever their bullshit reason? I guess I’m not masking up when I go down south or anywhere else for that matter.

The government can’t tell me what to do! No way, I’m wearing a mask. The government can’t tell me what to do! So what if I was doing 50 mph in 25 mph school zone. The government can’t tell me what to do! Why should I stop at a 4-way stop intersection? The government can’t tell me what to do! So I had six or seven drinks before I drove home? The government can’t tell me what to do! /S

The only side effect I’m having from the Moderna vaccine is a growing sense of rage at the anti-vaxers. The Yam is done republicans, get over it and get the vaccine now!

Still, and again, masks do not protect the masked; masks prevent the infected from spreading the virus. We should continue with masks until we reach that magic number referred to as herd immunity.

I got the shot. Wife refuses. At first I didn’t care. Now I realize there could be a problem if she end up in the hospital. If she gets sick and ends up in the hospital, she will pay the bill. I am tired of paying for her stupidity.

Just a few sources from folks who ought to know better than others about masks and getting vaccinated. Read one, read a few, read ‘em all but learn about this from the professionals. Not YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, podcasts, or radio talk shows. Professionals in the exact fields (infectious diseases, public health, virology, etc). It’s better than getting medical advice from your hairdresser, your drunk cousin, or some fool on TV who tells you not to get your shots but already got his and cut to the head of the line to do it. Listen to the medical professionals (MD’s, not some twerp with a degree in homeopathic medicine, acupuncture, healing oils, or any other BS. Actual, board certified MD’s and RN’s trained for this specifically) -
