The first one is much more useful than the second. Despite the high fees that are commanded for “certification” classes which do NOT teach you to think, but do provide some tools for those who do think.
Bok, of course, is of the opinion that universities are in the second category because to a person who CANNOT (or WILL NOT) think, the fact that young people come away from the U able to notice the things that their society has been doing wrong is proof that they’re really brainwashers. And to a very slight extent it’s true: An adequate education DOES make you less likely to believe exactly as your parents do and that DOES disrupt a society that depends on being static.
I don’t remember a statue being dragged into class as a primary learning tool. Or at all. I can learn the accurate history of a period or event without the need to keep up statues of people from that time who were traitors and slavers. This cartoon lacks so much context. #SAD
- Citizens that teach you that having statues honoring traitors to the country who were fighting for slavery is inappropriate and is hurtful to many in the community.

Well, Bok has never been taught how to think, and the MAGAts tell him what to think.

Texas school board said they didn’t want to teach critical thinking because children might question authority.
Most of the country has used Texas-generated school books.

Texas schools are the lower cartoon.

Sadly, I have to agree with you… we’re graduating semi-functional illiterates here. Very depressing

UC Berkeley used to be the top cartoon.

Baghdad Bok certainly went someplace that taught him what to think. Imagine a victim of brainwashing telling others that schools brainwash students.

Right. How many state governments are prohibiting the teaching of CRT? How is THAT not the government telling you what to think?
Schools are SUPPOSED to decide what to teach. This is just ignorant.

Is it irony if it’s a cartoon?

I’m amazed you understand there’s a difference Bok, you certainly don’t apply it.
