Agnes, “ gelato” and “ sherbet” should not be used in any way that implies they are comparable in taste. Sherbet barely ranks above popsicles in flavor and texture.

If by any chance, you have a banana… mash it, and freeze it, in a small covered container.
it’s amazingly like banana ice cream, and great with chocolate syrup.
I mean real chocolate syrup, Agnes, if you’re reading this…
not whatever brown stuff you might concoct, and think you can substitute.
