Trump’s people took small children (one under a year and still nursing) from their parents, sent the parents back and sent the children to parts unknown, with no records of where they were sent. Maybe the parents are coming back looking for them.

So, if your choice is definitely die, in agony, or take a 1 in 1000 chance of bettering yourself (or possibly die) by betting everything on that 1 long chance… which one do YOU choose?

Moronic conservatives like Bok like to pretend that the border crisis sprang up out of nowhere starting in January, 2021.

Kidnapping kids from their families? Forcing toddlers to go before a judge without a family member or so much as an advocate helping them? Setting up a system of stealing children without having any way to reunite them with their family at any point? Forced hysterectomies on young women?

It would be ringing some bells, except the GQP is braindeaf.

We don’t have an illegal immigration problem. We have an illegal hiring for cheap labor problem.

As the Repubs whine that businesses can’t find workers… and blame it on the generous unemployment payments… but businesses won’t bother to raise wages to attract those workers… didja ever think, there are thousands and thousands of people trying to get into the US who would surely LOVE to take those low-paying jobs? Beats getting killed by narco terrorists or being mired in poverty in troubled Latin American countries. America was built by hard-working immigrants.

Guess all those rumors of “streets paved with gold” has attracted record numbers of “tourists”?

Climate change is causing extreme damaging weather here. Buildings and bridges are collapsing due to deferred maintenance. We’re in the midst of a Constitutional crisis where a significant number of people believe that our country is run by corrupt pedophiles who stole an election. And the Corona Virus is subdued but not beaten, mostly due to people who won’t get vaccinated.

How bad must it be in other countries that they want to come here? And can’t you see that we have bigger things to worry about.

She must be standing on the shore of the Potomac, ‘cause she sure didn’t go to where they’re crossing the Rio Grande.

They already know that the U.S. is systemically racist – they assume it is not as bad under Biden.

BTW – “America” includes more than just the U.S. Most of these immigrants are coming from Central America, so in that sense they are already part of “America”. U.S. citizens are a bit arrogant about this, even if accidental… we should remind ourselves that it is the United States OF America.

I live in Texas. I have had my roof replaced four times nearly 50 years, and I doubt that I have had a US citizen working on it yet. I realize that my insurance premium would go up if we had a minimum wage that allowed a family to eat and roofing companies were required to pay it but I support having such anyway. When I see a collection of such probable “illegals” working on the highway in August I’d love to round up a bunch of right wingers like Chip and force them to do the job.

Some time this weekend, Baghdad Bok and the so-called ‘conservatives’ who post here will probably go to a Mexican restaurant. Or maybe a five star restaurant. Or something in between.

They will know that a large percentage of them are probably illegals. And they will celebrate their great fortune to be served by them.

Hypocrisy being the main course.
