45’s reign and his following have exposed weaknesses — e.g. the pretend patriots that actually wish to overturn democracy — in our government infrastructure. Unfortunately, unless we put in place a means of protecting our constitutional democratic republic from seditious/anti-democratic/authoritarian traitors posing as flag-waving patriots from obstructing/demolishing our government from inside, this can happen again. Merely punishing 45 et al, will not correct the problem.
‘Disgusting’: Mitch McConnell ignites an enraged backlash after bragging about rigging the Supreme Court
Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell again boasted that he blocked former president Barack Obama from fulfilling his constitutional obligation to fill the late Antonin Scalia’s seat on the U.S. Supreme Court.
“[It’s] the single most consequential thing I’ve done in my time as majority leader of the Senate,” McConnell told conservative broadcaster Hugh Hewitt on Monday.
‘Endless cycle of Republican abuse of power’: Legal experts blast McConnell for planning to block a Biden SCOTUS pick
U.S. Senate Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell kicked off the week by telling right wing radio host Hugh Hewitt that he is planning to block any U.S. Supreme Court nominee President Joe Biden makes if Republicans win back the Senate next year.
Trump’s psychosis is still an ‘enormous danger’: Former Harvard psychiatrist Lance Dodes
Based on Trump’s public behavior and other available information, these experts warned that he appears to be a malignant narcissist, a pathological liar who is obsessed with violence, easily manipulated by praise and other ego-stroking behavior, indifferent to the suffering of other human beings, anti-social and anti-human in his values and behavior, irresponsible and impulsive and in total quite likely a sociopath or perhaps a psychopath.
Collectively, these mental health experts predicted that Trump’s many apparent pathologies would lead to destruction and suffering for the American people and the world.
They were almost entirely correct: Donald Trump undermined and destabilized American society and democracy. He made negligent and irresponsible choices, bordering on outright sabotage, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. These choices may have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans and shortened the average lifespan of the American people by several years. He colluded with a hostile foreign power to subvert a presidential election. He attempted a coup which included an attack by his followers on the U.S. Capitol. He very nearly destroyed the American economy and presided over a regime of profound corruption. He inspired and encouraged right-wing terrorism and other political violence. He leads a political cult. He was impeached twice — which is unprecedented in American history — for his various crimes against the Constitution and the country.
Instead of being publicly praised and rewarded for their truth-telling and their attempts to warn America and the world, many of these mental health professionals have endured death threats and other retaliation.
They didn’t invent it, of course, but “Scenes We’d Like to See” was an old Mad Magazine standby. And, speaking of Mad Magazine, wouldn’t you LOVE to see some Don Martin sound effects for when Traitor Trump is bouncing off the walls of his cell—or being BOUNCED?
It is interesting to read about the mafia crime bosses and how much time they were sentenced to for tax evasion and various conspiracy charges. We can only hope lady Justice sees the Hump-her’s similar crimes to be as serious.
Not that I expect anybody to read my comment to Montana Swill, or, for that matter, to tie Montana Swill’s shoes for him……….Yet, c’mon! The son of a money-laundering and mobbed-up career criminal, who was a failure in his own father’s eyes (his father didn’t live long enough to witness his rapes and treason), did NOT embarrass us in Europe and the world? Ask INTELLIGENT people in Europe (and the world) about this, Swill.
IF — and I say if — the orange Mistake ends up in court, I hereby predict he’ll serve no time. And if he serves time, I bet it would be at some equivalent of Club Fed. (the New York version, probably).
It’s a nice fantasy, but there’s zero chance of it. Remember that in the unlikely event that he were to go to court, and more unlikely, get a prison sentence, he’d get a pardon. If all else failed, he’d get it from Joe Biden. If you think Biden wouldn’t pardon him, you don’t understand how America works.

Whether he goes to jail or not, the loser-in-chief will die friendless and alone, and quite likely penniless.
