But under the rules of engagement of any law enforcement agency I am aware of, the use of deadly force is only authorized when there is a direct threat of bodily harm. Ashley Babbit was unarmed, entering through a broken window and posed no such threat when she was shot. Also, there were several other law enforcement officers within a few feet behind her, if she was posing a threat why did they not draw their weapons a fire? Answer: because they knew she did not fall within the parameters of using deadly force. If you believe in equal justice for all then that capital police officer needs to be held to account in a court of law.

Well, Mike, 35 GOP Senators nixed the bipartisan committee on what happened at the Capitol on 01/06. Meaning they nixed the committee altogether. Hopefully, the Democratic Majority in the Senate will press on with their own investigation and call BS on the alt-right’s reframing of the attack as a peaceful demonstration. Tell that to the Capitol Police who were physically attacked by the mobs (many carrying “blue lives matter” signs)! Perhaps this is what finally pushes the Dems to get rid of the filibuster and replace it with a straight up and down vote. One can only hope.
