Don’t you just love how history works in your favor whenever you choose a point in time? Why not start with how the Israeli courts upheld throwing Palestinians out of their homes so Israeli settlers could move in? There’s two sides to every story and neither side is clean in this one.

I am decidedly pro-Israel but anti-settlement. Yes, one can be both. So maybe the de-escalation could begin with Netanyahu backing off the evictions. Or Israelis finally deposing Bibi.

If the Palestinian leadership, Hamas, wanted peace, there would be peace.

Yup.. Mike with his infinite insight has nailed it again. An ironic situation in that part of the world.. Israel is doing the very thing to the Palestines that Germany did to the Jews. Confiscate their property.. forcible move them to selected areas and eventually put them in concentration camps. History changes the players but does repeat itself.

Why can’t the Palestinians get used to ethnic cleansing and apartheid?

Attacks by both sides will continue until a comprehensive peace plan is developed.

No, don’t de-escalate. Kill them back. Then they kill you back back and then you kill them back back back, and they kill you back back back back…..

And so on until the problem is solved.

In a video released on May 17, the Israel Defense Forces portrayed the latest such demand, from Fathi Hammad, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau.

“People of Jerusalem, we want you to cut off the heads of the Jews with knives,” Hammad shouted while speaking at a May 7 rally. The video was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). “With your hand, cut their artery from here,” Hammad said. “A knife costs five shekels. Buy a knife, sharpen it, put it there, and just cut off [their heads].”

One definition of a tragedy is when both sides are right. Or in this case when both sides are wrong.

Right, because all of the rockets are only going one way, and Israel has already done everything it can to bring peace. /s

Don’t get me wrong, I understand that permanent peace is impossible with Hamas, but I don’t see the usefulness of current Israeli strikes. Lots of civilians get killed, which only encourages more opposition to Israel. Probably not the way to go.
