These are the stupidest apples and oranges I’ve ever seen.

I think someone should investigate one of those fruits…probably the oranges…

Neither one of them will leave office after mishandling crises to the tune of 500,000 dead Americans.

    Right, Goodwyn!

Everybody knows the proper way to handle a crisis is to:

claim that it is not happening or it’s a total hoax by Democrats, claim any reported damage is just fake news by the media,

and invade some country in the middle east.

PLEASE ist stop. Biden has been office <120 days. The pipeline hack was against a PRIVATE company by an organization that has been committing ransom hacks for years. If we’re blaming presidents, then Trump should have fixed it. And the Middle East? That problem started 2000 years ago and after that amount of time, both sides are wrong.

Why don’t you deal with the fact that Trump’s negligence in office killed 600,000 Americans. That fact is proven and will never go away.

Those younger people who see Jimmy Carter and wife in their mid-nineties might not realize why he was elected. He was seen as a decent man, a self-professed born-again Christian (a plus to many), and an intelligent and tech-savvy person. It was a contrast to Gerald Ford (tainted by association with Nixon) in many ways. Carter proclaimed, “I will never lie to you,” and his overall demeanor seemed to promise that would be true.

The partisan sharks began circling, and the media circus seemed to play “Entry of the Gladiators” instead of “Hail to the Chief.” Much was made of his “Playboy” interview, and colorful-to-say-the-least family — portrayed by some as straight out of ”Dogpatch.”

It seemed to irk Carter and perhaps he took ill-advised moves to prove how tough he could be. The whole Iranian fiasco, starting with allowing the Shah into the U.S.for treatment was certainly his worst — that resulted in the 444-day Iranian Hostage Crisis, and a resulting downward spin in the Economy. And remember the so-called Killer Rabbit incident? By this time the Carter comedy seemed turned to farce.

Ronald Reagan and Republicans took ample opportunities to ridicule and denigrate Carter all the way to the end, and thus began their ascension to power that led to Donald Trump. But I think Carter will eventually rank as one of our most decent presidents, and among the best ex-presidents — for whatever that’s worth.

An SNL skit with Bill Murray as Walter Cronkite, Dan Ackroyd as Carter early in his term:

Yeah, it had nothing to do with right wing sites generating a lot of the panic buying. Which once someone sees someone else filling up every gas can they own, they start thinking they need to do the same thing. And so on, and so on, and so on.

The only reason there really became a fuel shortage was people that had to stockpile fuel. Many in inappropriate containers, which have since already spilled all the fuel in them, thus wasting what someone who actually needed fuel to get to work, not to be able to go to work. Or more seriously, empty tanks in ambulances, firetrucks, and such.

The other sad thing. If these people don’t use the fuel they panic bought in a timely matter, it will go bad and potentially cause damage to their vehicles engines.
