Due to pandemic strictures, I have used credit cards so often that actually paying in cash seems awkward. Used cash for over 70 years and now have to stop and work out the numbers at the register. Strange world.
The vast majority of the world’s wealth now exists only in the form of electrons in computers. One serious solar flare and most of it will be irretrievably destroyed. We’ll get to start over with colored pebbles and IOUs.
I hope that when I die, that it isn’t true that we look down on our loved ones from Heaven. That could get depressing seeing them suffer. Especially, when we can’t do anything about it.
