Foxnews: “Stacey Abrams applauds MLB’s decision to move All-Star Game out of GeorgiaMLB’s decision marked the most significant act to date in protest of the GOP-backed legislation”
And HOW in the world is it right to label Major League Baseball as “Biden”?
Bok’s gone further around the bend than usual, seems like.
One, Georgia doesn’t host the All Star Game very often. Two, most people in Georgia that want their votes to count and not be subject to their Governor’s approval, are all for MLB taking their business elsewhere. Sure, it would have been a bonus for businesses, but a law that allows the Governor to change the outcome is not how elections should work in the USA.
3, anyone notice how the vote demographics changed when Georgia implimented a paper backed vote vs electronic voting? Too bad they hadn’t done that earlier, as they would have Governor Abrams and none of this Jim Crow inspired voter suppression nonsense.
If I understand this drivel correctly, by suggesting that the Georgia GOP rammed through a voter suppression law that clearly targets black voters, Biden forced that mean old MLB to move the All Star Game out of Georgia which will therefore somehow throw Stacey Abrams under the bus (or at least hit her with a beanball). Bok is somehow trying to argue that the boycott of Georgia will come back and bite Democrats.
Like many righties, Chip thinks that business rules all. Ms. Abrams states that while she is disappointed that the Allstar game is being moved from Atlanta, she’s pleased that the players and owners of baseball teams are taking a stand on voter rights.
Did either Biden or Abrams have anything to do with MLB’s decision to boycott the Peach State? Was there a conversation between them about the boycott?
Public Citizen: Coca-Cola, AT&T gave nearly $1M to legislators backing voting restrictions
AT&T donated the lion’s share, with more than $810,000 in donations to Republican lawmakers around the country who have supported bills that critics say would restrict the right to vote and disproportionately impact minority communities.
“Corporate leaders cannot credibly claim to love America while also giving contributions to lawmakers who are supporting thinly veiled attempts to suppress the vote, especially among people of color,” Public Citizen’s executive vice president, Lisa Gilbert, said in a statement Monday.
“The only acceptable action for corporations to take is to stop giving to supporters of these bills, forever."
When reached for comment, a Coca-Cola spokesperson said: “We suspended all political contributions in early January after the incident at the U.S. Capitol, and that pause continues.”
AT&T did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
I agree with Stacy Abrams on the Boycott GA crap. It will only hurt businesses in GA, including those owned by minorities. My wife’s bday is coming up so I’m purposely looking for something I can order from a minority-owned business in GA.
Racist MLB just yanked the All Star Game from Atlanta (I hope the Braves sue) because GA is racist. So, the state with 30% African Americana population loses out and lily white Colorado with only 4% African American population gets the All Star game. All those minority owned businesses in Atlanta that would have benefitted form the game get the shaft, not to mention the employees that work at the park during the game, which is mostly minorities. The businesses around the park in CO which are almost exclusively white and the employees at the park which are majority white, just got handed a bonus from MLB. Nice going, idjits. White folk being woke and sticking it to black folk. You can’t make this stuff up.
BTW, somebody brought up that MLB Commish, Rob Manfred, is a member at Augusta. Shouldn’t his woke arse be dropping that membership?
How about someone standing in line for. nearly. 8. hours?
Terence Rushin, Georgia voter (and my hero): “Seven hours, 45 minutes and 13 seconds it took for me to vote in Fulton County, Georgia. As soon as I saw the line, I hit the stopwatch on my phone. I spent the first couple hours listening to the new Run the Jewels album and then I ended up listening to the entire discography. And then I started watching season eight of Curb Your Enthusiasm and it’s five hours. It is one o’clock in the morning and somebody was like, _“Hey, y’all remember we came to vote yesterday, right?”_
The hypocrisy of the left is all but unbelievable. The Democrats have over 150 years history of black voter suppression with their Jim Crowe laws, poll taxes and intimidation by their KKK thugs through lynchings, murder, beatings, mayhem, church burnings etc. Republicans have fought long and hard against all of that, forced through laws that gave minorities and women the vote and equal rights despite strict Democrat opposition and filibusters in congress. The laws enacted in Georgia is a continuation of that fight ensuring equal opportunity to vote for all while ensuring that intimidation, coercion and cheating is held to a minimum. This is what has the Democrats in an uproar.
Georgia, you might want to look at the woman real close that says she loves Georgia. She just helped lose some of your jobs, and revenue for the city all to benefit herself.
A twofer. Not only does Denver have less than 10% black population, Colorado has FEWER early voting days AND they require ID for in person voting.
MLB really stepped on its dick…again. Abrams is the prime mover for this debacle and Joementia keeps calling the GA voter laws Jim Crow even after WaPo and several other liberal rags called him out for LYING about the law.

Once again, I ask point blank explain EXACTLY how this law is racist. How is it oppressive? The arguments I have seen are weak thus far.
