Stantis has suckered for the reality-reversed POOPaganda of the TrumpubliQans on immigration and border issues. He has it exactly backwards.

It is the OPEN BORDER TRUMPUBLIQANS who dishonestly give LIP SERVICE to getting tough on immigration, while rejecting serious proposals aimed at actually controlling our borders in favor of Trump ego walls that DO NOTHING, so the TrumpubliQans can continue to import cheap labor who they make sure are allowed to come, but keep them illegal so they can pay below minimum wage and consign to work in unsafe conditions, knowing that these workers are too intimidated by their undocumented status to enforce their legal rights to adequate wages and safe working conditions.

Then, to further ensure that they attract this cheap source of imported labor, they spread a massive LIE, asserting that Biden has promised the “open borders” that, in reality, THEY are the only ones promoting, thus trying to attract more people to come here thinking it is now safe.

In contrast, it is Democrats, and ONLY Democrats, who have actually drawn up and introduced actual legislation with real teeth in it that would not only secure our borders, but address other aspects of undocumented immigration (such as addressing the issue at its cause, and addressing the issues of those who enter legally, on temporary tourist or student visas, and simply remain in the United States after their visas expire.

And of course, having failed to erect his border EGO WALL, or get Mexico to pay for it, he was reduced to having his acolytes construct a GOLDEN IDOL (fools’ gold, of course), that his cult worship could bow down and worship.

REALLY? That’s what you got? Too bad you’re so divorced from reality. I had always thought that being a political cartoonist was a job that involved at least paying attention to the thing you’re planning to ’toon about.

The Biden admin is not asleep. They’re not allowing everyone in. They’re being overwhelmed by the unexpected number (something that I do think they dropped the ball on); and they’re working on fixing it.

Stantis, who remained pretty silent over the last 4 years, suddenly perked his pen up when Biden took office and started drawing things that had been happening all along.

The problem is that Biden is working it, along with a dozen other things under the umbrella of Covid, but given that he’s had two months, why hasn’t he had a solution already? /s

Scott, we really expect better of you than this. Did the boss wake you up and tell you that it was time to kick Biden?

Replace that gate with Trump’s billion dollar ‘wall’. It was just as useless, but cost plenty.

If only there were no jobs that attracted the unskilled who were willing to work for substandard wages, but our profit-driven capitalist actually creates the situations where there is a need for them. It’s the very people that complain about illegal immigrants that often create jobs that most legal workers would not even consider. As long as these jobs exist there will be no barrier that will prevent those seeking them from find access points.If we could work to correct the corrupt dysfunctional Central American governments we could eliminate the flow of immigrants. How much longer will we play kick-the-can with our unresolved immigration issues?

Mr. Stantis; have you not noticed that the border crossings are much the same as they have been for many years. The real crisis is the wave of voter suppression laws being forced through. The Republican party, or what is called that today, seems bent on killing Democracy in our Country.

By not enforcing employer constraints on hiring “illegal” alien workers wages are kept low. Just a thought so we can keep the economy strong. Could not allow those who go to “preach” in Central America not back into the USA.

Since most of these people are refugees from three central American countries that are in turmoil, the sensible thing to do is send troops down there and eliminate the turmoil.

You say this, while Rall complains that people are still being held in cages at the borders…

And neither of you is anywhere close to matching up with reality. A reality which has been, is, and — especially as the AGW existential climate change underway intensifies — will continue to be (at an ever increasing rate as long as the surface of this planet remains habitable).
