I take it these are electric since you’d sure know if it were gas with the flame.

Trust me, heating an empty pot for 20 minutes is a lot worse!

Why is cooking considered the adult thing to do???? I like ordering and eating. . .

Aunty, that’s called old age. In your case old, old, old age and copious quantities of 5L box wine.

Aside from the improvement, has anyone else noticed the difference?

Well, you warmed up the kitchen/house ! Sometimes in winter, I’ll put on a stove burner to heat the downstairs awhile. I’m very safety minded however and make sure the area is safe from combustibles etc. The military trains one well on safety.

Oh, I need an apron like that!!

I’ve put the oven on to get to temperature and an hour later thinking my dinner should be ready, find it still sitting on the stove. LOL We’ve all done similar silly things.

Has anyone here ever made a pot of coffee and forgot to put coffee grounds into the basket first? I DID!

I’ve solved that problem it seems. No I didn’t suddenly get my memory back, I just ask Alexa to remind me or set a timer. My watch also buzzes if I’m out of earshot.

She also fell back on her bobo and said ‘Aunty go boom!’…

One of the reasons I prefer gas to electric stoves.

It’s worse when you turn on the wrong burner and ruin a burner cover.

And that is PRECISELY why I have a gas stove! Well, that and the burned hands.

It could be worse. You could turn on the burner with the empty Aluminum pan on it and end up with a pan that’s had the bottom melted out of it.
