A horseshoe in the middle of the street and a cop walking a beat in 1953! I was seven years old then. How did I miss this?

    1. Gobble gobble trouble.

    2. Not his lucky horseshoe it ain’t.

    3. Dog gone it!

For those who come in late, BOZO is splendid classics by the less known but tremendously talented master of perspective artwork FoXo Reardon who creates a picturesque picture of a three dimensional cartoon world in every scene of every panel, in this excellent epitome of picture speaking thousand words, as FoXo never needed words to tell his funny tales but told them with the power of his awesome artwork alone.

Take your time, relax, and enjoy every panel of BOZO, my friends, for in every panel you can see and feel the splendid three dimensional depths and details. A glorious gem from the past which remained hidden for most folks across the world, until now.

These fabulous fun funnies being great joy and sheer cheer to many every day even today.

But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.

Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to more!

And yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master cartoonist FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever excellent evergreen entertainer BOZO!

There is a woman around here who I’ve seen walking her three dogs. Two of them are on foot, but she pushes the third dog in a baby carriage. I’ve never asked her why, but would guess that the dog in the carriage has something wrong with it.

The Worm Turns – Bozo seems to have found a cassowary rather than a turkey.

My dad was a born cartoonist. He never held a job title other than that of “cartoonist.” It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that he was born with a drawing pen in one hand and a bottle of India ink in the other. He liked to tell the story of how he as a 16-year-old “sat on the editor’s doorstep every day” until he was finally hired. He loved his family and his country. He supported the civil rights movement before it became fashionable. He raised eight children—six sons and two daughters—all responsible citizens, which included a Jesuit priest and a pediatrician who served as a volunteer doctor for four years in Vietnam during the war there. All sons served in the military: three in the regular U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and three in the active reserves. Bozo was carried by Stars and Stripes, the newspaper of the U.S. Armed Forces and was popular with our men and women in uniform.

After Dad’s passing, Ham Fisher, the creator of the Joe Palooka comic strip wrote my mother a long letter of condolence, several pages long, which he ended with the tribute, “I have known very few like him in a long lifetime.”

It is my profound hope that GoComics subscribers will make my dad’s words, “Bozo will not die” a continuing reality.

(The above is from my July 2021 interview with GoComics. For the complete interview, please clock the GoComics Blog below, and(then click page 2.)

    1) DREAMS OF DISASTER: Turkey to kill for Thanksgiving. Bozo chases them left and right with an axe until one of them is a giant and he’s dinner!

    2) LUCK IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT: Not being superstitious Bozo tries on a lark throwing a horseshoe he finds over his right shoulder. He clobbers a cop and is arrested for assault with battery by horseshoe!

    3) CONTENTS UNKNOWN: Bozo helping a neighbor takes a pram thinking he is pushing a baby. A sound gets him to look and find it is the lady’s pet dog!

Panel #4 in strip #3 baffles me.

The baby dog carriage has all of its hardware in the first three panels in that strip.

Panel #4, is missing some hardware related to the wheels on the left side of the carriage.

This is my first encounter with missing information in a strip by Foxo.

I’m not at all disappointed but I am startled!
