This doesn’t compute at all for teenage Mike.

You’ll understand, Michael, when you get a family of your own.

While, nothing beats a great father.

“You got a car.”

“You got credit cards.”

“You got total freedom!”

“I got a baby girl. ’Nuf sed.”

He probably has very little time to be at home alone – quiet- when he can relax. A chance to be with the baby on his own terms.

He DID : )

We do a lot of work, planning and put a lot of effort into finally affording the time to stay home with the people we do all that for.

Neat is a very relative term. Lesson is not learned though……

Teenagers do not get it. Dad is right.

Some pleasures you have to grow into.

John may have credit cards, but it costs little to come home and care for his daughter. Good on him for not running up needless debt.

The Pattersons’ country is not called Cana-debt for nothing.

He won’t understand until he’s older and working

John’s idea of something neat is to try and pour juice from a glass into the mouth of April, who’s not even using sippy cups yet?

Mike Farrell (BJ Hunnicutt, M*A*S*H) once brought his two small children to the set. Someone asked, “Lost the toss, hmm?” He replied, “Nope. Won it.”

Mike will figure it out once Meredith and Robin are on the scene.

… as he walks away from Mike, though, taking the ‘little one’ with him. Seems to be ignoring Mike on his ‘neat’ activity!

Mike is a typical teen. He has no idea that those credit cards are not free cash.
