    If she’s going to keep it, she needs a glass terrarium. Mice can ooze through just about any opening larger than quart-inch mesh. And if the wire is thin enough they’ll chew through it. Never mind how I know that.

    We had neighbors who ignored the scurrying sounds in the Attic. About two months later they sold the house and had to pay thousands of dollars to exterminate the pack rats in the attic and the walls, to bring in a Hazmat crew to remove all the soiled insulation in the attic and some of the walls, to replace all the wiring that had been chewed through.

    my friend had a mouse up in her attic also. unfortunately it’s life ended differently. she didn’t name it but her daughter’s name is Stacey.

    When setting out traps to catch a mouse in my grandparents’ apartment, my Bohemian grandmother always referred to a mouse as “her.” So I guess mice are feminine in the language.
