do you really have such things in the US ? keyless touchless test drives in electric cars without any sales persons? Maybe there are cameras everywhere and u have to show an some internet certified licence before?
My 1t car was a 2 door 1974 Ford Pinto Station-wagon with a 2 litre engine, 4 speed manual shift. It was painted ‘Ginger-Gold’, a medium brown metallic. Ford dealer arranged for the rust proofing. ‘Rust Stop’ did that. They plugged the drain holes in the door bottoms which caused the bottom of the doors to rust out completely by third year. Warranty was worthless since ‘Rust-Stop’ had gone out of business.
It depends. When we bought our last new car (Subaru in 2009) the dealership handed us the keys and said, ‘take it for a spin, however long you want. Just bring it back with the same amount of gas.’ No salesman went with us. Of course, they had copies of our IDs, our car, and the keys to it. When we bought the other car (2 seater from a Saturn dealer in 2008,) they let me take one home for the weekend.
The first time you drive an electric car some explanations are helpful. They’re not mentioning that here but the salesman would have given them some pointers. The term “One pedal driving” really does describe it, once you get used to it. The brake only needs to be used in emergencies, most of the time, since lifting your foot off of the accelerator causes the car to slow down and regenerative braking to begin. That plus intelligent cruise control will bring the car to a stop safely.
