The COVIDIOT deniers who spent all year whining about a “hoax” are now shoving others aside to jump to the front of the line to get vaccinated against that “hoax.”

It reminds me of how Trump rudely pushed aside — literally pushed aside — the prime minister of Montenegro, to jump to the front of a photo op.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iimj0j4NYME

Anyone who denied COVID or refused the minimal safety standards to protect others should be last in line to get vaccinated. (Of course many of the deniers who suckered for the Republican lies are also the same ones who say that Trump should get credit for this amazing medical breakthrough, while they themselves will refuse to get vaccinated. The ones who deny the reality should not only be last in line to be vaccinated, but when hospitals run out of ICU beds and start having to ration care, triage should also place the deniers at the lowest run of priority for care.)

The ones who whined about their “rights” and “freedoms” being abridged by safety standards are the ones whose irresponsibility is what is prolonging the need for those standards.

Many of the same people who rushed to abridge our freedoms by enacting the Patriot Act after fewer than 3,000 were killed in a single day on 9/11, can’t even be inconvenienced by simply putting on a mask when more than 340,000 people (and counting) have died, and 3,000 are now dying every single day.

I say don’t waste the vaccine and let Darwin step in. It is the ultimate irony that those particular asses are allowed to get the shots before us peons and piss ants.

The only time I’ve seen most of these deniers wearing a mask is in line to get vaccinated and then only because it’s required.

The guy getting the vaccine is too tall to be little Marco Polio. Little Marco must have gotten in front of him, too.

    “We want them infected.”

And then there’s the case of Congressman-ELECT Luke Letlow (R-LA, 5th District). He tested positive for COVID -19 on 18 DEC and died yesterday!! He was set to be sworn in on 03 JAN 2021! He was only 41, leaves a wife and two young children behind! Though he was not a denier, was frequently seen not wearing a mask…

    :-(

It just shows what their priorities are. All they care about is themselves. COVID is a perfect case study of what’s wrong with Americans: INDIVIDUALISM interpreted as caring only about one’s self.

People who won’t wear a mask because they feel they are fine and that it’s their choice. They don’t care that the mask protects OTHERS over themselves (ask any surgeon why they wear a mask).

People who argue against social distancing because THEY need to socialize. They don’t want to give up doing what they want when they want.

Americans have perverted Individualism. They forgot about personal responsibility. They only care about themselves. They want to get ahead no matter the cost to others. They’ve taken Individualism and raised it to the pinnacle of selfishness. This is Trump’s version of Individualism and it’s disgusting on every level.

@ trolls in comments above: NEITHER OF WHOM EVER DENIED the spread or lethality of the virus, BTW. Unlike certain others, including Trump.

The only reason I approve of elected GOP office holders (or any other GOP chuds) who publicly accept the two shots necessary of COVID vaccine is that, by this action, they just might influence anti-vaxxers out there to get in line and roll up their sleeves as well. That, and the fact that those adequately inoculated will no longer pose a vector risk to society at large.

I would actually publicly applaud them if they stated to main stream media outlets as they received the shots that they apologize if they ever said anything previously which minimized the risk/effects of COVID, that everyone needs to get vaccinated, and for those who medically cannot — or simply still won’t, because FREEDOM — well, maybe at least those who medically can’t will at least wear masks/distance/wash as required unless/until the CDC gives the all clear to return to normal.

I wish each and every FREEDOM idiot could be isolated on an island with all their FREEDOM idiot fellow travelers, and only returned to society when following their idiotic pandemic faith beliefs no longer poses a threat to everyone else.

Those people who whine about masks, social distancing, small groups instead of crowds, and are antivaccine need to wait at the end of the line for medical services and a vaccine.
