You know those stories of Japanese soldiers who emerged from the jungle where they’d been hiding for 30 years after WW2 was over? Most people think of them as crazy and their lives as wasted, but apparently most of them were proud of their life-long loyalty to their mikado. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of Disaster Pumpkin’s most fervent followers have his name engraved defiantly on their own headstones when they finally depart the planet. Religious fanaticism does weird things to the human brain.
I’ve been predicting for years that there will be a “de-Trumping” the same way as there was a “de-Stalinization.” (Joe’s successors were by no means worthwhile people, but consider the alternative!)
The New Year could turn out to be interesting….maybe even amusing…watching the GOP trying to retain relevancy…it is way past time for them to make a course correction to become the party of the “everyman”…naw..they won’t give up all the easy money showered on them by their “big money” donors.
Trump’s election and fiasco-filled term were a “perfect storm” of unfortunate event, which may not reoccur for decades. But we need to be ready to act when we see the clouds of fascism and personality cult.
The Japanese soldiers refused to believe the war was over. As I posted previously:
No Surrender: My Thirty-Year War is the autobiography of Hiroo Onoda an Imperial Japanese Army intelligence officer who fought in World War II and was a Japanese holdout who did not surrender at the war’s end in August 1945. After the war ended Onoda spent 29 years hiding out on the island of Lubang in the Philippines until his former commander traveled from Japan to formally relieve him from duty in 1974.
I remember he appeared on the game show “To Tell the Truth”

Josh Hawley, Senator from Missouri: Stanford BA, Harvard Juris D, Missouri AG and now he has agreed to challenge the election in the senate. Trumpism has become a religion for the former party known as the GOP
It is now apparent that Donald John Trump has lost the election. In over 50 instances, the judiciary has laughed Trump’s arguments and what pitiful “proofs” they’ve managed to produce out of all the courts.
Bottom line is that the vote count showed that Trump lost and republicans believe that this just can’t be -their “rationale” is now reduced to … Trump CAN’T lose because he’s a republican and republicans can’t lose and, more importantly, Trump can’t lose because democrats have no “right” to win.
Rank-and-file Congressional republicans are now reduced to debasing themselves by supporting Trump simply because he’s Trump.
The ONLY corruption that’s been found in the 2020 election, so far, has been in Pennsylvania and ALL THREE INSTANCES were republicans attempting illegally to vote for SOMEONE else.
Representative Gohmert and Senator Hawley are only the latest attempting to commit treason and destroy the American Constitution by participating in a political coup – I personally would like to see the Republican Party disbanded and BANNED just as the National Socialist party was in Germany in the post WWII era in and for exactly the same reasons – politically, republicans have shown themselves traitorous and treasonous and CLEARLY antithetical to American ideals of democracy!

Even after he is officially out of office on 1/20/21 Trump will not stop his War On America… with attacks on “disloyal RINOs” at the top of his list…
